Abstract
It is my pleasure to introduce to all of our readers Dr. Ravi Kumar Lingam as new editor of the Head and Neck section of Acta Radiologica and Acta Radiologica Open.
Dr. Lingam is replacing Dr. Romain Kohler who will retire from this position in the near future. Dr. Kohler has done a tremendous job as head and neck editor in our journals and will now retire due to a new academic position in Switzerland. We thank him for his enthusiasm and hard work in evaluating and editing manuscripts. During his time as editor, the number of submitted head and neck manuscripts increased substantially.
Dr. Lingam graduated from University of Wales College of Medicine in 1994. Among his qualifications can be listed a BSc (Hon) Wales 1991, MBBCh Wales 1994, MRCP (UK) 1997, FRCR 2001, and EBHNR 2013.
Dr. Lingam is a member of different learned societies such as the Royal College of Physicians, the Royal College of Radiologists, the European Society of Head & Neck Radiologists (fellow), and the British Society of Head & Neck Radiologists.
He is presently consultant radiologist at London Northwest Healthcare NHS Trust at Northwick Park & Central Middlesex Hospitals, London. He is also a senior lecturer at Imperial College, London.
Dr. Lingam is a distinguished author/coauthor of numerous peer-reviewed publications.
