Treatment of Breast Cancer with an Association of Vincristine,Fluorouracil,Methotrexate,Cyclophosphamide and Prednisone

Twelve post-menopausal patients with advanced breast cancer who had received no prior therapy with sex hormones and cytotoxic drugs were treated with a 5-drug combination modified from a multiple drug-therapy previously proposed by Ansfield et al. Ten patients had objective regressions, category I of Karnofsky; eight patients were in category IB and one was in category IC. Toxic effects were very mild.
