A child in mind: the report of the Commission of Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of Kimberley Carlile, London Borough of Greenwich, 1987.

The research involved interviews with fifty social workers and the same number of health visitors, together with their managers, in a part of London and in a town in the North West. In addition, we observed 25 case conferences, and spoke informally to a wide range of other professionals involved in child protection work in the two areas.
