Post Traumatic Temporomandibular joint Treatment and BDORT Application

In this study the treatment of temporomandibular joints of an eighteen year old female who suffered traumatic injury twice is evaluated for further improvement with BDORT technique.

Patientxs’s chief complaints are joint clicking, popping and trismus.

Past medical history reveals that patient had first trauma to her jaw joints when she was kicked in her lower jaw practicing martial arts eight years ago and second trauma to her temporomandibular joints when she had all her wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon five months ago. The first trauma leaves her with joint clicking, popping and inability to open her mouth wide and the second trauma further damages her joint and leaves her with progressively worsening anterior open bite.

Conventional structural treatment is initiated with lower intraoral orthotic and after three months of treatment the temporomandibular joint function appears to return to normal. Joint vibration has diminished and range of motion has improved to normal range of maximum opening and speed of jaw movement has improved also. This improved TM joint would be the regular treatment goal before stage II orthodontic treatment under the current paradigm of TMJ therapy.

BDORT technique is applied to examine the condition of TM joint both before and after orthotic treatment. Both condyle and fossa in each joint are found to have strong negativity before and after orthotic treatment. Several antibiotics, antiviral agent and metal eliminating agent were examined with BDORT technique. Among the antibiotics Doxycycline 100mg is found to induce the strongest positive result. Product number 10 and Cilantro also have strong positive result. The patient is given Doxycycline 100mg and product number 10 and is instructed to apply durg uptake enhancement method to the organ representation area for 10 minutes each time patient takes the medications. The condition is further reevaluated after three days of treatment A significant reduction in the amount of negativity and infection is found and the clinical function of the TM joint further improves in joint vibration and range of motion.

A healthy joint requires not only that a healthy joint disc dimension is restored and that a tight pack relationship in the entire temporomandibular joint complex is also restored. We find that BDORT technique is excellent in achieving these objectives when applied in combination with conventional TMJ orthotic therapy. It is very effective in resolving the issue of infection and inflammation which the traditional therapy technique has been compounded by and deficient in methodology. The non-invasiveness, efficiency and accuracy in selecting and delivering best medication make BDORT technique an essential armamentarium in modem TMJ treatment.
