Abstract
Heritage is integral to the Chinese civilization. The discourse chain of heritage remains vibrant in the family history of the Manchu ethnicity. Through the analysis of the historical archives of divine records of shaman and family worship, those of a higher position within the discourse chain pass the discourse to those currently responsible, eventually to their successors. Although the ritual can no longer be entirely replicated in modern society, the heritage of the ethnic Manchus has contributed profoundly to China's family history and its cultural diversity.
