Abstract

The ODE Graduate Research Award is bestowed upon the author of the best article presented by a graduate student at the ODE Graduate Student Session during the annual ASSA meetings.
Who is Eligible
Members of Omicron Delta Epsilon who present papers at the ODE Graduate Student Session.
Eligible Entries
Articles may be on any topic in economics. They must be based on work initiated prior to receipt of a Ph.D. or terminal M.A. degree. Entries of up to 5,000 words are preferred, but up to 10,000 words are acceptable.
Nature of Award
The ODE Graduate Research Award consists of a cash prize of $2,000 and submission of the paper to The American Economist.
Procedure for Participation
Submit your proposal and abstract through the form found under the ASSA Paper Session link on the ODE website. If you are accepted to present at the Graduate Student Session, you may enter the ODE Graduate Research competition by submitting your completed paper to the Vice-President for Competitions by Nov. 1.
Deadline
May 15 of each year for initial proposals; November 1 of each year to submit completed articles for the ODE Graduate Research Award.
Selection Process
The Award Selection Committee determines the annual winner of the ODE Graduate Research Award. The committee is selected annually by the Vice-President for Competitions.
Award Announcement
The winner is determined by December 1, announced at the ASSA meetings in January, and published on the ODE website. The award is presented during the ODE Chapter Advisor Reception at the ASSA meetings.
