The case is presented of a non-pregnant 19 year-old female who developed distressing lactation while being treated with trifluperidol for manic excitement. An analysis of her milk was done, the trifluperidol-induced milk was compared with breast milk in all three phases of normal lactation and differences in the constituents are discussed.
