Finite Element Modelling of the Inflation Process in Blow Moulding

Abstract

The blow molding process historically has been used for the production of small bottles. Recent applications are also in the field of more technical products. Increasing requirements on the quality of molded parts and on the transparency of the process require the optimization of the process in an early stage of die design.
