Abstract

Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that I bring in the new year with the 2016 Volume. The previous year has brought special recognition to ROPPA. Thanks to the efforts of our editorial and advisory boards, contributors, reviewers and the editorial team at SAGE, the 2014 Journal Citation Report® (Thomson Reuters, 2015) ranked ROPPA 14 out of 46 among public administration journals with an impact factor score of 1.297. ROPPA’s five-year impact factor (1.290) keeps it in the top 20 among public administration journals.
Beginning in 2016, I would like to have a robust discussion on the future of ROPPA as an outlet for cutting edge research in public human resource management. In forthcoming issues, I hope to encourage submissions that focus on laboratory experimental studies on human behavior as well as field experiments that might benefit the wider human resources community. I hope you will join me in this effort.
With your assistance we will strive for continued publication of high-quality research that reaches a broad audience in the public human resource management field. Please remember to cite ROPPA in your work. Your citations of ROPPA articles directly affect our impact factor.
As a reminder, you can access ROPPA OnlineFirst articles at http://rop.sagepub.com/content/early/recent. Our OnlineFirst feature is an excellent way to access the most recent scholarship. Prospective authors may submit manuscripts online at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/roppa.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Editorial and Advisory Board members for their consistent and valuable support. Also, special thanks and appreciation goes to the numerous other scholars and practitioners who have served as reviewers.
Best wishes for a happy, healthy and productive 2016.
Sincerely,
