LetS.msh-paris.fr).
Cost-free Data Collection in an Immigrant Panel (MESS NL). This is an invitation for cost-free data collection in an immigrant panel. Universities, research schools, and individual academics are invited to submit research proposals for the immigrant panel of the MESS project. Proposals can be submitted both from the Netherlands and from abroad. They can be very brief, can be submitted throughout the year, and will be reviewed within three months (see http://www.lissdata.nl for guidelines). Approved proposals are carried out in the panel free of charge. The MESS project facilitates advanced data collection using the Internet, new measurement devices, and the latest technology. The project is carried out by CentERdata (Tilburg University, The Netherlands). The core element of the project is the LISS (Longitudinal Internet Studies for the Social sciences) panel: an Internet panel specifically intended for scientific research. The special immigrant panel is a new element of the MESS project. It is comprised of approximately 2,400 individuals, 1,700 of which are of non-Dutch origin. Both the LISS panel and the immigrant panel are based on probability samples from the population register (see http://www.lissdata.nl for more information on the sample and recruitment).
