Scholarly Dialogue: Nursing’s Future—Philosophy of Science in Nursing

Abstract

This column focuses on the philosophy of science in nursing with Dr. Polifroni’s penetrating insight presented in the scholarly dialogue. Dr. Polifroni illuminates the role of the philosophy of science in nursing that shapes how nurses advance and apply nursing knowledge. She further recognizes nursing as a whole, more than what nurses do, and appreciates nurses as scientists. The philosophy of science in nursing seamlessly enlightens the future of nursing.
