With the trend towards miniaturisation and high power densities, where traditional cooling is frequently insufficient, thermal management is essential for the dependability and effectiveness of electronic devices, power systems, and different industrial applications. Therefore, to improve the heat transfer in the MCHS. A three-dimensional numerical analysis is presented to study the behaviour of heat transfer and pressure drop in the MCHS with secondary branches within the wavy channel. The general N-S equations and energy equations are solved by considering a single-phase water flow with conjugate heat transfer in both solid substrate and liquid region simultaneously using the finite volume method (FVM) through the commercial CFD software ANSYS FLUENT 24.0. A wavy MC with 25 mm length and 274.199 μm hydraulic diameter in a constant cross-section segment is settled up for study. The addition of the secondary branches within the WAVY MC enhances heat transfer and thermal performance. The results emphasized the superiority of the overall performance of the WS-MC MC over the P-MC and W-MC MC. The best thermal performance factor achieved i.e. 1.619 at Re = 532, which is 13.86% higher than that of the wavy MC but at lower Reynolds number 302 we achieve thermal performance factor 1.587 which is 23% higher than w-mc.
