Abstract

The fourth Annual Conference of the Department of Journalism at the University of Westminster, held in association with British Journalism Review and featuring the BJR's Charles Wheeler Award, will take place at the university's campus at 309 Regent Street, London W1, on May 29 and 30. Following the presentation of the award – made in memory of the distinguished broadcaster Charles Wheeler – there will be a formal lecture by or interview with a prominent media figure, details of which will be posted on the BJR and university websites.
Following the phone-hacking scandal and the ongoing Leveson Inquiry, this year's Conference – After Phone Hacking, What Next? – will deal with journalistic standards, ethics and practices. As before, there will be a series of sessions over a day and a half featuring academics and practitioners. The Conference will conclude in the evening of May 30 with the presentation of the Wheeler Award for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcast Journalism and the speech or interview.
Those wishing to attend the Conference, or requiring further information about it and/or the Wheeler Award, should contact Helen Cohen at
