Abstract

A reader brought to the authors’ attention that the ranges of two of the scales used in Experiment 1 were reported incorrectly. This Corrigendum is correcting the relevant sentences (p. 2080) as follows: Ratings were made on a 7-point scale (1 = strongly disagree, 7 = strongly agree; M = 3.43, SD = 1.08, α = .91). Finally, participants rated the physical pain of the tasks by responding to an item gauging intensity (“How intense was the pain you ex-perienced?”; 1 = not at all painful, 10 = intensely painful).
