Abstract

Dr. David Morata obtained his Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine in 2022, under the guidance of Dr. Dimitri Papamoschou. He obtained his MS in 2019. His research work at the University of California included advanced microphone array techniques, signal processing, acoustic holography and the modeling of aerospace-related topics. He has worked on developing continuous-scan phased microphone arrays, and low-order models for rapid noise prediction of supersonic jet flows. He was a recipient for the Best Paper Award from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2022. Dr. Morata’s interests also include novel experimental techniques aimed at improving airborne and structure-borne noise sources of commercial passenger vehicles and novel Noise, Vibration and Harshness techniques.
