Abstract

The author is to be congratulated on his magnificent achievement in collecting the lives and work of the world's neuroscientists. He has divided the book into sections, the first dealing with ‘The Beginning’ and the second on ‘The Modern Age’. There are over 400 pages of bibliographies of neuroscientists; clearly a labour of love, Dr Bhattacharyya has managed to cover nearly all of the world's pundits in a brilliant survey of neuroscience. Not meant to be read from cover to cover, it will delight all those who will consider it a reference work to look up any global neuroscientist and it is, therefore, an essential volume for anyone wishing to write on any neuroscientific topic.
