Abstract

Journal of Medical Biography (jmb.sagepub.com) encourages submissions to our Student Award for Best Paper. The 2014 award will be presented to the best student paper published (or accepted) before the end of the year. In order to qualify, the author must be a student or recent graduate or postgraduate (within 2 years or graduation) reporting on research conducted as a student, excluding postdoctoral research.
The award consists of one year's free online subscription to the journal and acknowledgement within the journal. Qualifying papers accepted for publication will be considered using reviewer and editorial board comments and by final selection of the Editor.

Indicate at the time of manuscript submission that the paper is to be considered for this award. Provide details of your course, department and institution, and current student status. Provide contact details of an academic supervisor or tutor who could endorse your submission. Have your article accepted for publication before
Journal of Medical Biography features articles on persons and places, legendary and less well known, which provide a fresh perspective. We welcome original research which offers insights into the figures and techniques which have shaped the development of medical practice and research.
