Abstract

The Editors of European Urban and Regional Studies are pleased to announce that, as from January 2018, Alberta Andreotti of the University of Milan-Bicocca has joined the editorial team as an Editor. Alberta brings to us a substantial comparative European experience of economic sociology, especially across aspects of the welfare state and social change in cities. Her commitment to the development of a European understanding of urban and regional development has seen her coordinate numerous cross-national research programmes and projects. Alberta has filled a vacancy left by Vassilis Arapoglou, whose long and outstanding service to the journal has helped shape what it is today. Pleasingly, both Vassilis and previous Editor Mike Bradshaw have agreed to continue their support to the journal as members of the Editorial Board. It is a pleasure to welcome Alberta to the editorial team and to announce the continued support of valued colleagues.
