Abstract
This need assessment of the curriculum for the Medical Assistants' Training Schools (MATS) in Bangladesh is a qualitative exploration by employing methodological mixes. The purpose of conducting the need assessment is to appraise requisiteness of the current curriculum and give direction to bring it at par with the changing demand of the day. The findings show a flow in the intricate relationship among human resource development, good governance and health care delivery expectations that affect the effective implementation of the curriculum. The findings also point out that the curriculum needs to be rewritten with correct English syntax. Some issues of course plan in the curriculum need to be incorporated and/or redefined. It is recommended that the current curriculum be revised and updated.
