Seville, Spain, 25 September 2013
The Accounting History Doctoral Colloquium (AHDC) has become a regular feature of the Accounting History International Conference (AHIC) series beginning with the 3AHIC that was held in Siena in 2003. The Colloquium is held on the first day of the AHIC event, prior to registration and the opening reception, and allows up to ten doctoral students in accounting history to make presentations on issues in their research area.
Academic members of a panel comment on the formal presentations made by each participant and offer constructive advice and encouragement to all presenters. Continuing the series, the seventh Accounting History International Conference (7AHIC) being held in Seville, Spain during 25-27 September 2013 will feature the fifth Accounting History Doctoral Colloquium (5AHDC) on Wednesday, 25 September, 2013.

Students who wish to express an interest in attending the 5AHDC are requested to forward research proposals, brief biographical details and a CV to Brian West no later than 12 July 2013 at the following address:
Research proposals should contain the following information:
Project (working) title;
Background to the study (or scenario for investigation);
Main research objective to be stated in a single, concise sentence;
Concise statement of key research question(s);
Research methodology;
Period selection;
Limitations of the study;
Expected (original) contribution of the study to the literature;
List of no more than ten key references relating to the proposed study;
Provide details of the names and addresses of the doctoral supervisors and the institution where the research will be/is being conducted.
Research proposals should be no longer than six pages (double spaced typing). Formal invitations to attend the Doctoral Colloquium will be issued on receipt and review of research proposals.
