Abstract
SAGE Publications and the Accounting History Special Interest Group of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand recognise with much appreciation the significant and longstanding contributions of Brian West, Joint Editor of Accounting History, who is stepping down from the role on 31 December 2016. Brian joined the Editorial Board of Accounting History in 1999, became Assistant Editor in 2003 and served in this role until 2007 and, from 2008, has been Joint Editor.
On 1 January 2017, Carolyn Fowler, becomes the new Joint Editor, having served the journal as Associate Editor since 2014. Brian’s association with Accounting History will continue in the capacity of membership of the Editorial Advisory Panel. He will also be guest editing a special issue of the journal on the theme ‘Histories of Accounting in Educational Institutions’, with Laura Maran.
