This annual award is judged by the members of the Accounting History Special Interest Group of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand, and from 1 January 2017, the members of the Editorial Team of Accounting History. The award is presented to the author(s) of the article published in the journal which “makes the most significant contribution to the accounting history literature”. The award recipient for 2017 receives an AU$600 prize sponsored by the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Newcastle.
