The Cycle of Loss,Grief,and Violence as Exhibited in the Lives of Inner-City Youth

Just as violence may occur in nature at any time, so too does it occur in institutions such as the school and the family, and on the most personal level, within the individual as well. This article explores the various forces that impact inner-city youth. Knowledge of these forces may provide a greater understanding of the way in which violence occurs in the lives of inner-city youth. The author also offers a hypothesis of the role they play in the grief processes of these same young people.
