Abstract

New Political Research Quarterly (PRQ) Editors Announced
The Western Political Science Association (WPSA) would like to announce the selection of new editors for the PRQ. The new editors will be Jason Maloy and Jeanette Mendez of Oklahoma State University. They were recommended by a selection committee chaired by William Haltom, University of Puget Sound, and approved by the WPSA Executive Council at its August meeting in Chicago, Illinois. The Maloy and Mendez team was one of five outstanding applications that the committee reviewed before making its recommendation.
Maloy and Mendez will be replacing Cornell Clayton and Amy Mazur, Washington State University, at the conclusion of their term in July 2014. The association would like to thank Cornell and Amy for their eight years of service as PRQ editors. During their tenure, Cornell and Amy oversaw an expansion of the quality and circulation of the quarterly. Their work has been stellar, and the association is very appreciative of all that they have done.
The association would also like to thank William Haltom and the other members of the search committee as follows:
Mark Button, University of Utah
Mary Hawkesworth, Rutgers University
Rodney Hero, University of California, Berkeley
Timothy W. Luke, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
Melissa R. Michelson, Menlo College
Richard Clucas, WPSA Executive Director
Finally, I would personally like to thank all the applicants for the editor position. The WPSA and PRQ could not succeed without the support of individuals like you. I thank you for applying and hope to continue seeing you play an important role in the association.
Congratulations, Jason and Jeanette. All of us involved in the association look forward to working with you.
