Abstract

Recommendation:

Unknown. The role of screening for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and decolonization prior to total ankle arthroplasty (TAA) remains unclear. Further data are needed to support this practice in TAA, which can be costly and logistically difficult to implement.
