Abstract

Child Maltreatment (CM) provides graduate students, interns, or postdoctoral fellows the opportunity to serve as members of the Student Editorial Board (SEB). SEB members gain experience in the scientific peer-review and publication processes. They provide anonymous manuscript reviews under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Once the student review is approved by the faculty mentor, it is included in the journal’s decision and feedback process and forwarded to authors. As with all CM reviewers, students then receive anonymous copies of all other reviews of the article, so that they may compare their analysis and comments with those of recognized experts in the field. Every two years, from a considerable number of qualified applicants, the selection committee chooses a total of 6-8 students to serve 2-year terms. Congratulations to the following Student Editorial Board members for 2020–2021.
Selection Committee 2019: Rochelle Hanson, J. Bart Klika, Kathryn Maguire-Jack, Kristin Valentino, Daniel Whitaker
Thank you and best wishes to the following students completing their Student Editorial Board term 2018–2019.
