Abstract

For our doctoral candidates, research questions sloth and spark. Sitting alongside us, their dragged writing sharpens, While outside, learner data gather, captured and confounding. Student momentum falls, rude and contrary With dejected musings—how come this misses? With two minds, we pick the problems Our synchronous interrogation generates fresh synthesis, Analyses proceed with rigor hardened, Meaning makes and brakes, Aching the expositories. In the end, high concluding lines Belie the pending life learning sentence. Our motive? We observantly desire Our graduates will discover much that is truthful Singular and useful And morph their own graduands. Along the ages, spiritedly, We warp out of place and time In our clothes and ceremonies Progressing colorfully in procession—gaudeamus igitur!
