Abstract

About Campus: Enriching the Student Learning Experience is committed to being an inclusive journal where all individuals are treated with fairness and respect. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated, including, but not limited to: ability, age, education, gender, marriage and partnership status, political beliefs, pregnancy and parental responsibilities, race, religion and belief, sexual identity and orientation, or socio-economic background (SAGE, 2021). About Campus recognizes that oppression exists for persons with intersectional identities and that higher education has not always been a comfortable space for many people. We strive to embrace and encourage diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging throughout every step of the publishing process. We support authors throughout their research, from initial inquiries to revisions and final submissions. The lens through which we view the world and take action is intersectional, intentional, and directed (ACPA, 2019). We believe that diversity directly enriches the student learning experience of students, faculty, and staff.
Diversity is one of the cornerstones of a vibrant culture. We are building a journal that is equitable and representative of the communities we serve and of which we are a part. We seek to challenge unjust systems that operate within higher education and are committed to confronting differential power relations that perpetuate inequity within academia. About Campus aims to educate a general audience and disrupt inequities in higher education.
