Abstract

Dear Colleagues,
I am writing with a few brief announcements.
First, at the request of Cynthia Nalevanko and her colleagues at Sage, I have agreed to extend my term as Editor for one additional year. Thus, I will continue to process new manuscripts until July 1, 2017 (and hopefully wrap up the papers in the publication queue by December of 2017).
Second, although I was able to convince most of my Associate Editors to extend their terms, both John Antonakis and Adam Meade have other commitments in place that prevent them from continuing on for another year. I have very much enjoyed working with John and Adam and have benefitted from their insightful and constructive counsel.
Third, given that the editorial team will be shrinking (but the number of manuscripts seems to be steadily increasing), I decided to expand the team of Associate Editors. I am delighted to announce that Thomas Greckhamer, Lisa Schurer Lambert, and Louis Tay have agreed to serve as Associate Editors throughout the duration of my term.
Fourth, as the number of submissions continues to increase (and the content of those submissions continues to be diverse), I have decided to add a few additional individuals to the Editorial Board. Please join me in welcoming Michael Gill, Paul Hibbert, Hettie Richardson, and Mikko Rönkkö to the Editorial Board.
Fifth, I am also delighted to announce that Kayla Weaver will serve as the Editorial Assistant for the journal throughout the remainder of my term.
Finally, I wanted to remind you that this coming year the journal anticipates publishing several feature topic issues. At this point, we have nearly completed the special issue on Video-Based Research Methods as well as the special issue on Mixed-Methods in the Organizational Sciences. We are also midway through the review process for the manuscripts that will comprise the feature topic on Neuroscience Methods in Organizational Research. Lastly, I am planning two ad hoc special issues based on a collection of papers related to Mediation and Moderation as well as a set of papers covering issues related to Big Data and Modern Data Analytics.
In closing, I would simply like to thank my excellent editorial team and the many talented ad hoc reviewers for their service to the journal. I truly value your counsel and support. I am honored and excited about the opportunity to continue serving as Editor for one additional year.
