Abstract
With this issue, we begin publishing articles that were written by distinguished scholars from around the world. Each author is an established researcher with a strong record of published research. This new category joins our existing categories of Research Articles, Research Notes, Commentaries, Rejoinders, and Book Reviews.
The work of the Distinguished Scholars that you will read in the next few years represents a wide array of topics in hospitality and tourism. Some will be conceptual in nature. Others will be classical studies. A few will likely be thoughtful reflections. As the authors are the leading scholars in our field, we can look forward to enjoying the benefit of their collective wisdom and experience.
The category for Research Articles is used for the majority of our publications. This is where the full studies are published. The category for Research Notes is reserved for shorter articles where the topic is typically less of a theory-advancement nature but still makes a useful contribution to our field. Commentaries and Rejoinders are categories for thoughtful remarks either about a current topic of interest or in response to a recent publication. Finally, Book Reviews is a category where we could publish an insightful examination of a recent publication.
