Abstract

Montrosse-Moorhead, B., Gambino, A.J., Yahn, L.M., Fan, M., & Vo, A.T. (2022). Evaluator Education Curriculum: Which Competencies Ought to Be Prioritized in Master's and Doctoral Programs? American Journal of Evaluation, 43(2), 262–292. (Original DOI: 10.1177/10982140211020326)
The authors want to clarify two things, listed below, in the published article.
On page 2, the authors write, “For example, the American Evaluation Association (AEA), the world's largest evaluation association, recently endorsed a set of competencies that includes five domains comprised of 49 competencies …”. The authors want to alert readers to the fact that their use of “endorsed” in the article means that the AEA board endorsed them.
On page 4, the authors write, “The first round of our Delphi study began with a predetermined set of items, specifically the competencies endorsed by the AEA as of August 2017.” The authors want to draw the attention of readers to the fact that competencies listed on the AEA's website are reviewed and revised at regular intervals. The version of the competencies used in this article is dated August 2017. The current version of the competencies endorsed by the AEA board is dated May 2018.
