Mengxia Fu is a PhD student in Applied Linguistics at the University of Auckland. She had taught English as a foreign language in China for six years before she received her MA from the University of Auckland in 2014. Her research interests include task-based language teaching, corrective feedback, and the role of individual differences in foreign and second language learning.
Junping Hou is an English teacher in Xi’an University (China) and currently a postdoc in the Department of Applied Linguistics at the University of Groningen. She received her PhD degree in 2017. Her primary research interests concern L2 English writing development.
Yueh-kuey Huang is an Associate Professor of TESOL in the Department of English at Tamkang University, Taiwan. Her research and teaching interests include L2 reading and writing, teacher education, and technology enhanced language learning. She has been a long-term consultant for the English Teachers’ Advisory Team in New Taipei City.
James P. Lantolf is Greer Professor in Language Acquisition and Applied Linguistics at The Pennsylvania State University. He also holds a Changjiang Professorship in the School of Foreign Studies at Xi’an JiaoTong University. His research focuses on the teaching and learning of second languages in the education setting from the perspective of sociocultural theory and cognitive linguistics.
Jiyun Kim is Assistant Professor in Applied Linguistics at the Catholic University of Korea. She has research interests in teaching L2 figurative language and pragmatics from the perspective of cognitive linguistics and Vygotskian sociocultural theory.
Shaofeng Li is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland. His research has revolved around task-based language teaching and learning, form-focused instruction, research methods, and individual learner differences in language aptitude, working memory, motivation, and anxiety. He has extensive teaching experience in China, the U.S., and New Zealand.
Dilin Liu is Professor/Coordinator of Applied Linguistics/TESOL in the English Department at the University of Alabama. His research focuses on corpus-based description/teaching of lexis/grammar. He has published extensively including many articles in journals such as Applied Linguistics, ESP, Modern Language Journal, Studies in the Second Language Acquisition, and TESOL Quarterly.
Hanneke Loerts is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Frisian Language and Culture at the University of Groningen where she teaches courses on psycho- and neurolinguistics, research methodology, and statistics. Her research focuses on multilingual language comprehension and processing.
Yi-chun Pan is an Associate Professor in the Department of International Trade at National Pingtung University, Taiwan. Areas of instructional and research focus include L2 listening/reading and business writing.
Caroline Payant is an Assistant Professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her research examines task type and task repetition effects on interaction and L2/L3 development. Her work can be found in the International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, Foreign Language Annals, and Studies in Second Language Acquisition.
Derek Reagan graduated with a M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language and completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Natal, Brazil. His research interests include task-based language teaching, second language pedagogy, L2 writing, and pragmatics.
Tzung-Hung Tsai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied English at National Pingtung University, Taiwan. His primary research and teaching interests are EFL teacher training, L2 listening/reading, and business English.
Marjolijn Verspoor is Professor of English Language and English as a Second Language at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, and at the University of Pannonia, Hungary. Her main research interests are second language development from a dynamic usage based perspective and instructional approaches in foreign language teaching.
