In the published version of the above-mentioned article, multiple textual errors were inadvertently introduced. These corrections have been listed below, and the online version of the article has been updated to reflect this change.
1. The 10th author’s name has been corrected from “Marta Daviglus” to “Martha Daviglus.”
2. The 12th author’s name has been corrected from “Gregory Telavera” to “Gregory Talavera.”
3. The conclusion section in the abstract has been corrected from “In a large Hispanic/Latino cohort, we identified several microbial taxa and KEGG pathways associated with cognition” to “In a large Hispanic/Latino cohort, we identified several microbial taxa and KEGG modules associated with cognition.”
4. All instances in the article for “CHS/SOL” and “HCHC/SOL” have been corrected to “HCHS/SOL.”
5. On page 88, the term “Holdemania massiliensis Eubacterium” has been corrected to “Eubacterium.”
6. On page 86, under sub-heading “Stool sample collection and storage” the last sentence has been corrected from “Of these 2,470, were part of HCHS/SOL and had GCS, stool metagenomic and were included in this study” to “Of these 2,470, were part of HCHS/SOL and had GCS as well as stool metagenomic data, and were included in this study.”
7. On page 86, under sub-heading “Fecal sample processing and sequencing” the last sentence has been corrected from “Sequencing depth ranged from 500 K-8, 945 K reads/sample, with average 955 K reads/sample” to “Sequencing depth ranged from 500K to 8,945K reads/sample, with average 955 K reads/sample.”
8. On page 87, in Figure 2, “955 read/sample” has been corrected to “955K read/sample.”
9. All instances of “Alistripes” have been corrected to “Alistipes” throughout the text.
10. The last sentence in the Discussion section of the article on page 92 has been corrected from “We also identified several KEGG pathways, with global cognitive function” to “We also identified several KEGG modules that were associated with global cognitive function.”
