Abstract

In 2018, Progress in Development Studies (PIDS) published 14 main articles. Congratulations to Deborah C. Menezes and Kanchana N. Ruwanpura, both of the Institute of Geography at the University of Edinburgh, UK, whose article “Roads and development = environment and energy?” was voted as the best article for 2018 by the PIDS editorial team. This article appeared in the January issue of the journal (pp. 52–65) and Kanchana N. Ruwanpura will receive a cash prize of US$200.
