An error was discovered in the article after it was published OnlineFirst. It was erroneously stated in the “Results” section (Page 14, paragraph 1, line 14) that there was no effect of conspiracy thinking on support for Dutch control over spending, contrary to which, there was a positive effect found. The incorrect sentence related to this was “As hypothesized, the effect of conspiracy thinking does not extend to the control issue. There is no significant effect of conspiracy thinking on support for Dutch control (H2b).” This has now been corrected to “Contrary to our expectations, the effect of conspiracy thinking does extend to the control issue. There is a significant positive effect of conspiracy thinking on support for Dutch control (H2b).”
