Abstract

Sage was contacted by Office of the Provost at Nazarbayev University outlining concerns around the intellectual property ownership of the body mapping data reported in the study. Additional, concerns have been raised that informed consent may not have been appropriately secured from the students and guests at the lectures involved in the research. An investigation carried out by Nazarbayev University recommended that the article should be retracted.
The authors do not agree with the retraction and have expressed their concerns about the process followed by the institution during the investigation. In accordance with the guidance issued by COPE, and the information provided by the author’s institution, the Journal Editor retracts this article.
