Aortoiliac Endarterectomy: Long-Term Follow-up and Surgical Reinterventions

Abstract

The techniques for surgical revascularizations in aortoiliac arteriopathy have evolved remarkably in recent years. The authors have examined their personal experience of 47 selected endarterectomies performed between 1973 and 1992. The favorable results of this type of revascularization are highlighted, together with the significant amount of medium- and long-term redo procedures and the ever-narrowing field of application of such a technique.
