Disability Studies and the Support of Individuals with Significant Disabilities and their Families: An Introduction to the Issues

Abstract

This article introduces a set of four articles with a shared focus on the emerging field of disability studies and its relevance to individuals with significant disabilities and their families. The purpose of this introduction is to summarize the common themes that run through the following articles. Points of agreement and disagreement are discussed.
