Sage was alerted to a conversation on PubPeer discussing the article. Several unattributed textual overlaps were reported with the following publication:

When contacted for comments, the corresponding author clarified that the original underlying data related to the study are no longer available but did not provide any direct comments regarding the overlap.
Following an assessment by the Journal Editor-in-Chief it was deemed that there remained unresolved concerns around unattributed overlaps. Due to this assessment, the article has been retracted.
