Over the past few decades, computers have been used to organize information. New organizational software allows users to classify information into taxonomies or to organize material by linking each item with other items. These methods of organization reflect trends in information processing theories of how the human mind encodes, organizes and retrieves information. The current research study aims to examine the impact of information organization methods on organization and retrieval efficiency as well as on aspects of user workload and preference.
