Jones revisited: A second look at the labor management relationship at one rural school district

This case study is a follow up to a previous case study using data collected from the same rural school district in Ohio. An examination of the faculty-administrative relationship using the same climate inventory used in 1999 allows for comparison of the relationship between faculty and management in 1999 and 2002. Conclusions suggested about the impact interest based bargaining can have on the relationship between the administration and faculty at an educational system are re-examined in light of the above-mentioned comparisons. Data collected in 2002 stand in contrast to the data collected in 1999. A closer look may indicate that the mechanism used in negotiations might not have as big an impact as suggested in the first report of this case.
