Abstract
This editorial introduces new developments for the International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching and Mentoring, including the appointment of an assistant editor, Birgit den Outer, and the formation of an Industry Liaison Board led by Dr. Anthony Grant, aimed at promoting cross-industry dialogue among professional coaching and mentoring organizations. It then summarizes the six papers featured in the current issue: a case study on coaching behaviors by line managers by Louise Wheeler, an exploration of supervisory coaching to reduce salespeople's lies by Anne Mathieu and Claudio Pousa, an investigation into stress management through workplace coaching by Gro Ladegård, a paper on positive psychology and evidence-based coaching in youth services by Clive Leach, Suzy Green and Anthony Grant, and a case study on a mentoring programme for women in science, engineering and technology by Hilary Geber and Caroline Roughneen. The issue also includes a Reflection from the Field article by Ya-Hui Kuo on using mentoring to support English language undergraduates, and a book review of Bruce Peltier's "The Psychology of Executive Coaching" by Carmelina Lawton-Smith.
