Abductor pollicis longus tendon distraction arthroplasty for chronic traumatic trapeziometacarpal dislocation

Abstract

Modified distraction arthroplasty using the abductor pollicis longus tendon is a useful technique for chronic traumatic trapeziometacarpal joint dislocation. The trapezium is preserved and a locally available tendon maintains reduction and stability.
