This patient likely has presbydysphagia that may be resulting in aspiration pneumonia. A multi-disciplinary team approach is crucial both to aid swallowing, reduce the risk of aspiration pneumonia and in order to adjust the diet accordingly to aid weight gain/reduce weight loss.
