Abstract

Answer B. Burnout
Burnout is common amongst doctors because of the shortage of staff and increasing demands. Early signs of burnout include a perception that work feels hard and/or that work has lost its purpose. Sometimes doctors find it hard to hide their emotions with colleagues or patients. Feelings of isolation can also be present. Burnout is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion. It has three main components – exhaustion, depersonalisation and a lack of personal accomplishment.
