Abstract

Answer C. Ezetimibe
People with diabetes often have an atherogenic lipid profile. In managing dyslipidaemia, healthy lifestyle measures should always be encouraged. Patients are considered high risk of cardiovascular disease if their 10-year risk score is more than 10%. Ezetimibe can now be used at an initial dose of 10 mg when statins are not tolerated or are contraindicated. Other options are currently not recommended by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
