The mother of a 2-year-old boy comes to see you because she has noticed that his head seems to be getting bigger. When he was born, his head circumference was ‘fine’. Looking at his personal child health records, his head circumference has been persistently raised for the past 3 months. Mum reports no symptoms and that he is thriving and developing well. Full examination is entirely normal apart from a raised head circumference.
