Answer E. Refer to vascular surgeons for consideration of elective surgical repair
In women who have an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) there is evidence of rupture occurring at smaller aortic diameters. Accordingly, they should be referred to vascular surgery at an aortic diameter of 5 cm or more.
