Abstract

Answer D. Paroxetine
When prescribing antidepressants during pregnancy the consensus is that sertraline, fluoxetine and citalopram are safer choices. Paroxetine is not recommended in pregnancy because of an increased risk of congenital heart defects; it is thought to increase the risk from one in a hundred to just less than two in a hundred.
