Answer A. Acute epididymitis
Acute epididymitis usually presents with unilateral scrotal pain and erythema usually within a few days. It can be accompanied by fever and scrotal swelling lasting less than 6 weeks. Examination, will reveal a tender, swollen epididymis. They may also have a hydrocele and testicular involvement. It is usually unilateral with the testes in the normal anatomical position, as opposed to testicular torsion where the testicle typically lies higher than normal in the scrotum.
